Why Advisors Try Knomee Themselves First
Trying out the client experience allows you to experience Knomee exactly as a client would — and then see the insights from the advisor side.
We call this the Sample Client Experience (formerly “My Financial ID”). You can experience Knomee as a client — without sending a single invitation.

How to access the Client Experience yourself
There are several ways to access it:
From a Blank Dashboard
If you have not invited any clients yet — or have not tried the client experience — you’ll see a button directly on your Dashboard:
“Try the Client Experience”
This allows you to immediately walk through Knomee as a client.
You’ll complete the same guided experience your clients complete — a series of short reflections (called “adventures”) focused on goals, confidence, outlook, and future vision.
You can complete them all at once or return later.
From your Client Dashboard (if you tried the client experience before)
If you’ve already started the client experience — your Sample ID appears directly in your Dashboard, and will display at the top of your client list (if you've already invited clients).
It looks and behaves like a regular client profile to allow you to experience both sides of Knomee:

The advisor output view
From the Main Menu
You can also access it anytime by clicking Client Experience from the main menu. This replaces the previous “My Financial ID” label.
What Happens After You Start?
Once you complete your first Adventure, your Sample ID automatically appears in your Dashboard.
From there, you can:
Open your Financial ID
Review Insights
Explore Conversation Starters
See exactly what your clients’ outputs will look like
Restart the experience
This gives you the full perspective — client and advisor view combined.
A note on reviewing insights from your Sample ID
What you see in your Financial ID depends on your completion status:
If You Fully Completed your Sample Financial ID
Click on the Financial Identity tab and review the high-level outputs of the completed adventures
Click on the Client Insights tab to review the client profile analysis and conversation starters generated for you
If You Partially Completed your Sample Financial ID
You’ll see an alert indicating the profile needs to be completed in order to unlock client insights
Click on the Knomee button to finish the incomplete adventures
Once complete, navigate back to Financial ID to see your generated insights
Redo Adventures or Restart Sample Client Experience
You can redo any Adventure(s) from your Knomee page.
If you want to restart the entire experience from the beginning, you can restart from your Knomee page or your Advisor Dashboard.
Restarting the Client Experience will:
Bring you back to the first Knomee Adventure
Replace previous Adventure outputs
Allow you to re-experience the journey
This is especially helpful if you want to:
Rehearse how you’d introduce Knomee
See how updated responses affect Insights
Experience the refresh flow before asking clients to do the same

Trying Knomee yourself helps you:
Anticipate how clients may feel while completing it
Understand how reflective responses turn into actionable insights
Practice how you might reference Knomee in a conversation
Build confidence before inviting your first client
You don’t need to have all the answers — experiencing Knomee yourself gives you the context you need to guide clients naturally.
