You have a hot lead — someone who has expressed real interest, taken a meeting, and is close to making a decision. The challenge at this stage isn't information. It's connection.
Prospects who are on the fence aren't usually waiting for more data on your fees or investment approach. They're waiting to feel understood.
Knomee helps you create that moment — by giving the prospect space to articulate what matters most to them, and giving you something real to respond to.
Why Knomee Works at the Closing Stage
Most advisors try to close by presenting credentials, performance data, or a financial plan. The prospect nods along and says "I need to think about it."
Knomee changes the dynamic. When a prospect completes a Knomee journey before your closing conversation, you arrive knowing:
What they're most anxious about
What they're hoping for — but may not have said out loud
What their relationship with money actually looks like
You're no longer pitching. You're responding to them.
Step 1: Send Knomee as a Follow-up
After your initial or last conversation, send the prospect their Knomee link with a short, personal note.
What to say:
"Before we meet again, I'd love to invite you to Knomee — a short reflection (about 10–15 minutes) that gives you space to think about what matters most to you right now. There are no right or wrong answers. It simply helps me show up to our conversation better prepared to focus on what's most important to you."
Tip: Keep it low-pressure. Frame it as something for them, not a step in your sales process.
Step 2: Review Their Financial ID Before the Meeting
When the prospect completes Knomee, review their output carefully before your closing meeting.
Look for:
Anxiety signals — areas where confidence is low or concerns are elevated
Stated priorities — what they say matters most versus what they may have emphasized verbally
Life context — transitions, goals, or moments that are shaping their decision right now
Don't try to address everything. Identify two or three things that feel most worth responding to — and lead with those.
Step 3: Open the Meeting by Reflecting Back What You Heard
Start the next conversation by showing you paid attention — not by presenting a plan. Utilize the conversation starters provided by Knomee, or consider some of these sample opening approaches.
Example openers:
"Thank you for taking the time with Knomee. Before we get into anything else, I want to reflect back something that stood out to me..."
"When I read through your responses, [X] really caught my attention. Can you tell me more about that?"
"It sounds like [goal or concern] is really top of mind for you right now. I want to make sure we talk about that today."
This sets a completely different tone than a standard meeting — and it builds trust quickly.
Step 4: Connect Their Insights to Your Value
Once you've reflected back what you heard, connect it directly to how you work.
This is not the moment for a generic pitch. It's the moment to be specific:
"Because [X] is important to you, here's how I approach that with clients..."
"What you described reminds me of [brief relevant example or approach]..."
"I want to make sure that whatever we build together accounts for [what they shared]..."
The goal is for the prospect to feel that your approach is built for someone like them — not a product they're being sold.
Step 5: Ask the Question That Opens the Door
Near the end of the meeting, invite them to close the loop themselves.
Suggested language:
"Based on everything we've discussed today — does this feel like the right fit for what you're looking for?"
"Is there anything you're still uncertain about that I can help address?"
"What would make this feel like an easy yes for you?"
Let them speak. You've spent the meeting listening — don't rush to fill the silence here.

Subject: Before we meet — a quick reflection I'd love you to try
Hi [Prospect First Name],
I'm looking forward to our conversation on [date].
Before we meet, I'd love to invite you to try something a little different. Knomee is a short, guided reflection — about 10–15 minutes — that gives you space to think about what matters most to you right now.
It's not a financial quiz or a test. There are no right or wrong answers. It simply helps me show up to our conversation better prepared to focus on what's most meaningful to you — rather than spending our time on the basics.
I recommend finding a quiet moment for it rather than squeezing it in between tasks.
